Find your Luna Rafting adventure nestled deep in the beautiful Pocono Mountains on the Lehigh River. Our focus on small private groups allows for a more personal whitewater experience, unlike what you would find in the traffic of the large river trips of our competition. We take quality to heart, and you’ll notice that from the moment you receive your equipment to the second you’re off the river. We are located only a few minutes from historic downtown Jim Thorpe.
Guided Rafting Trips
For the optimal whitewater rafting experience we recommend taking one of our beginner-friendly, guided rafting trips! On this adventure an experienced whitewater river guide will show you the most exciting route to take down the river. Not only would a river guide make your whitewater rafting experience smoother and more enjoyable, but safer too! Whitewater rafting in PA doesn't get any better than when you can guarantee a great water level on the river. A dam release means that the Francis E. Walter Dam, which feeds the Lehigh river, releases a large amount of water making the river appealing to both seasoned veterans and new customers alike. If it isn't a dam release day then the Francis E. Walter dam releases water in accordance with their flood control plan. As you can imagine, there are many rocks in the river in different sizes and shapes. On a dam release weekend with the increase in water flow means more of these rocks are covered for a more enjoyable whitewater rafting trip.
Do I need Reservations?
We highly recommend reservations for every whitewater activity we offer. We offer some of the best quality whitewater gear, but we have a limited quantity. So once we are sold out we cannot take on anymore clients. Booking your whitewater trip in advance also saves you money by avoiding the same-day reservation fee. Also, making your whitewater reservations early gives you the opportunity to choose the best whitewater trip time.
