Preparing for your day

          If you've never been on a river before and dont know what to expect or how to prepare, you've come to the right place! Just review this list for recommended items and clothing. Take our recomendations into consideration for the best, and safest whitewater rafting trip.

What to Expect

•Expect to GET WET! Whitewater rafting is just as the name describes. White water: waves and water everywhere!
• Be prepared to paddle. To keep control of the boat and the direction you are floating in you must keep paddling.
• Be on the lookout for, and ready to solve any problems that may arise, such as: getting off of rocks, or dodging obstacles and maneuvering into wave trains for the best whitewater ride.

          Other than that, expect to have a blast. Whitewater rafting can be an exhilarating experience and you are sure to have a few thrills.

Recommended items to bring

• Sunscreen
• A Lunch (dry bag will be provided)
• Change of clothing (for after the trip, best if left in your car)

• Bathing suit
• Light synthetic layer (the water may still be cold)
• River Booties or light water shoes

• Warm fleece, polypropylene, heavy silk, neoprene, and or wool layers
• River Booties
• Non cotton beany or cap
• No cotton underwear or socks

What not to bring on the river

• Jewelry of any kind
• Cell Phones
• Car Keys
• Expensive Sunglasses
• Your Change of Clothes

And anything you dont want lost or wet.
